You’re rewilding land

The world your children are growing up in depends on healthy ecosystems. Those ecosystems are under threat, but it can feel like there’s nothing you can do to help. With Riki, your everyday shopping is supporting rewilding projects that are bringing land back to life, at no extra cost.

What you’re making happen

Every time you shop through Riki, you’re supporting a range of rewilding projects across Heal Somerset, including:

Kestrel boxes: Providing safe places for kestrels to nest and raise their young.

Scrub islands: Creating small areas of shrubs and young trees that create shelter, nesting spots, and food for wildlife.

Yellow rattle planting: Introducing a native wildflower that helps reduce aggressive grasses and allows a wider range of wildflowers to grow.

Wetland restoration: Supporting the creation and improvement of wetland areas that provide habitats for amphibians, insects and birds.

These projects will help create a more varied and resilient landscape, with more habitats, more wildlife, and stronger natural systems. Over time, this will help the land recover from intensive farming and allow nature to rebuild and thrive.

You’re currently raising funds to bring these projects to life. Once the target is reached, you’ll be able to see exactly what you’ve made happen in your personal dashboard.

Where your support is going

Your everyday shopping is supporting rewilding projects at Heal Somerset.

Heal Somerset is the foundation site of nature charity Heal Rewilding. It spans 460 acres of rolling countryside, set on land that once operated as an intensive dairy farm.

Their mission is to revive healthy, resilient ecosystems by giving nature the freedom it needs to recover. This means creating space for trees, plants and wildflowers to regenerate naturally, enabling wildlife to move and thrive, and supporting the comeback of species under pressure.

You’re making that happen.
