Rescuing food waste with Riki.earth

You’re preventing food waste

Food waste is one of the biggest contributors to the environmental issues facing the world your children are growing up in. Every year, huge amounts of perfectly good food are thrown away, but it often feels like you can’t do anything about it. With Riki, your everyday shopping is preventing food waste, at no extra cost.

What you’re making happen

Every time you shop through Riki, you’re:

Rescuing good food from going to landfill
Perfectly good food that supermarkets and shops can no longer sell gets rescued before it’s thrown away, and put to good use instead.

Reducing harmful emissions
Food rotting in landfill releases methane, a greenhouse gas far more harmful than CO2. Every meal you help rescue is one less source of harmful emissions released into the atmosphere.

Feeding people in need
The food you help rescue is turned into free, wholesome meals for people across England, including parents who struggle to put food on the table for their children.

Every meal you make happen is food rescued, emissions prevented, and a family fed. You can see exactly how much food you’ve rescued in your personal dashboard.
